The Bangladesh Caterers Association brings together restaurateurs, takeaway owners, chefs and industry partners from across the United Kingdom. It exists to make sure the trade is represented, connected and equipped to respond to change.
That work combines a national voice on policy with practical business support, regional participation, member information and the BCA Awards. Together, these activities protect an important cultural legacy while helping independent hospitality businesses build a stronger future.

Members have taken workforce, tax, rates and hospitality issues directly to ministers and Parliament.
The first elected committee.
The surviving history records Shirajul Islam (Israel Miah) as President and Bashir Uddin Ahmed as Secretary General. They served alongside vice presidents Gous Khan, Salamat Miah, Abdul Rahman Khan and Joytun Miah; Antor Ali, Organising Secretary; M. A. Gofur, Publicity Secretary; A. S. Choudhury, Finance Secretary; Tara Miah, Social Secretary; and joint treasurers Abdur Rahman and Surat Miah.
Their work created an organisation through which a new generation of catering entrepreneurs could organise, support one another and speak collectively.
